Opolski Gość Niedzielny about the Conference:

We do not realize how much Eastern – Byzantine and Oriental Christianity – contributed to the life of the Church and all humanity.

The conference entitled “Christian Orient. The Undiscovered Heritage of Humanity”, organized at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Opole. It lasted from October 9 to 13. The following days were filled with lectures, prayer in various rituals, and other events. Among the 34 speakers were guests from many countries, including: from Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, China, Malaysia, India, Italy, Romania, Switzerland, Germany, Ukraine and Poland. The thematic scope of the symposium was equally wide.

Oriental atmosphere, meditation… is this something that might interest you? The Faculty of Theology is currently hosting a conference titled Christian Orient: the undiscovered heritage of humanity. This is your chance to get to know the oriental spheres, not only religious, but also cultural.

Since Monday, oriental-Christian meetings have been held at the Faculty of Theology in the auditorium (09/10/23). Every day there are several lectures given by people from various corners of the world, talking about the problems of local countries, whether in the Middle East or Africa.

TVP3 Opole about the Conference:

The Dean of the Faculty of Theology of the University of Opole received a medal from the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek. The award was presented by Fr. prof. Waldemar Cisło during the international conference “The Christian Orient – the undiscovered heritage of humanity”, which takes place in Opole.

Radio DOXA: Five days of discussion about the “Christian Orient” in Opole

Radio DOXA about the Conference:

The international scientific conference started yesterday (October 9). It is 5 days of lectures, prayers in various rituals and accompanying events. The conference will last until October 13 at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Opole, and its aim is to exchange thoughts and experiences of Christians and their culture in the broadly understood Orient.
